“Time” magazine’s Person of the Year choice always offends SOMEBODY.  But this year it offended A LOT of somebodies.  They went with billionaire ELON MUSK.

“Time” says, quote, “Person of the Year is a marker of influence, and few individuals have had more influence than Musk on life on Earth, and potentially life off Earth too.

“In 2021, Musk emerged not just as the world’s richest person but also as perhaps the richest example of a massive shift in our society.”

Time had previously announced SIMONE BILES as Athlete of the Year and OLIVIA RODRIGO as Entertainer of the Year.

They have another new category called Heroes of the Year . . . and it went to, quote, “Vaccine scientists and the miracle of mRNA.”

In a quick poll of almost 2,500 Americans, only 29% agree with “Time’s” choice, while 33% disagree.  The other 38% aren’t sure.

Someone else pointed out that “People” magazine did it better, when they gave the honor to DOLLY PARTON.  (They actually named four People of the Year.)
