Easter is this coming Sunday . . . and this year, the average American is expected to spend $192.  (Which, thanks to inflation and price gouging, would get you two dozen eggs and a bag of jelly beans.)

Overall, Americans will spend a record $24 BILLION on Easter . . . up from the previous high of $21.7 billon during the pandemic in 2020.

The most common expenses are:  Candy . . . gifts . . . food . . . clothing . . . flowers . . . decorations . . . and greeting cards.

According to the National Retail Federation, the average consumer has shelled out least $150 on Easter for the past six years, but $192 is an all-time high.

The most popular Easter Sunday activities include:  Cooking a holiday meal . . . visiting family and friends . . . going to church . . . Easter egg hunts . . . and (for those who are a little less festive) “watching TV.”
