Netflix’s Serial Killer Extended Universe just added two new characters. Season 2 of “Monster” will be called “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story”.
The Menendez Brothers were convicted in 1996 of killing their parents. They claimed they had suffered a lifetime of abuse, and shot them because they feared for their lives. But they still got life without parole.
There’s no word on casting yet.
Netflix is also doing a straight documentary, and claims to have, quote, “exclusive access” to Lyle and Erik.
