It’s good for kids to learn to be independent at a young age . . . but that doesn’t mean you have to give them a GOLDEN opportunity to throw a RAGER in your house.
A survey asked adults what age they’d be willing to leave their kids home alone . . . if they had to go out of town for the weekend. Not just an evening, a whole weekend.
And 14% say they’d feel okay about it if the kid was at least 13. Another 11% would be cool with it once the kid was 14 . . . 15% more said 15 . . . and another 22% want the kid to be at least 16. 20% wouldn’t do it until they were 18.
For what it’s worth, 23% of adults say THEY would’ve been able to stay home alone when they were 13. And half of them say they’d have been fine when they were 12 or even younger.
And for the record, 21% of the people in the survey admit that they DID host a party without their parents’ permission as a kid. 73% insist they never did.
