Movie Clichés That Never Happen in Real Life

A lot of things that happen in movies . . . even in movies that are supposed to be grounded in reality . . . NEVER happen in real life.  And there’s a Reddit thread devoted to them.

A lot of the obvious ones are in there, like people getting shot in the shoulder and acting like it’s no big deal, or the bad guy making a speech to the hero instead of just killing them on the spot.

Here are some of the others that you may or may not have noticed:

1.  Getting a parking spot right in front of a business in a major city in the middle of the day.

2.  Turning on the TV and it’s magically on the news, which is delivering the exact information the character needs right away.

3.  People not saying goodbye before hanging up the phone.

4.  Stealing someone’s uniform and having it fit perfectly.

5.  Someone guessing someone else’s password in just a few tries.

6.  Getting up in the morning and walking into the kitchen to a full breakfast, then eating a piece of toast and leaving for work or school.

7.  People hiding from bullets behind things that the bullets would absolutely rip through.

8.  Immediately getting in the shower after turning the water on, without having to check the temperature a few times first.

9.  Jumping from a significant height onto bags of garbage, and whatever’s inside them always provides a safe, soft landing.

10.  The grocery bag with a French baguette sticking out.
