Here’s a helpful tip:  If you’re “taken,” and you’re SECRETLY doing something behind your partner’s back, other than a SURPRISE for them . . . then yes, it’s probably cheating.

A new relationships survey has a ranking of 10 acts that SHOULD count as cheating, at least according to most people.  Here’s the rundown:

1.  Keeping an ongoing, flirtatious text conversation with someone . . . 41% of people agree that’s cheating.

2.  Talking with one person late into the night while hiding it from your partner . . . 40%.

3.  Maintaining a dating app profile “just to look” or for validation . . . 37%.

4.  Keeping someone in your phone under a fake name . . . 37%.

5.  Deleting messages so your partner won’t see them . . . 36%.

6.  Keeping in touch with an ex without telling your partner . . . 36%.

7.  Secretly meeting someone one-on-one . . . 36%.

8.  Having a secret friendship your partner doesn’t know about . . . 34%.

9.  “Fantasy messaging,” like saying stuff like, “What if we were single?” with someone . . . 33%.

10.  Sending heart emojis, compliments, or inside jokes to someone in a romantic way . . . 33%.

Overall, 15% of Americans who are married or in a relationship admit they do have romantic feelings for someone who isn’t their partner.

That’s more common among Gen Z’ers (31%) and Millennials (21%) than older adults . . . and more men admit to it (19%) than women (12%).
