There’s a new dating app called GoGetter. It’s supposed to be for people who like to be active and go hiking or whatever, but that’s not its big gimmick. It’s real hook is . . . you have to PAY for your matches.
When you match with someone on the app, you both have to pay with their digital currency, which comes out to around $1 per match.
That’s not a lot, but it’s more than zero . . . and the founders of GoGetter say that’s the point. By spending ANYTHING, you have, quote, “skin in the game.” And no, we don’t THINK that’s supposed to be a double entendre.
Anyway, if you’re interested, the app is available now for Apple and Android phones. It’s free to download.
